Thomas Andrews Jr.
On February 7,1863, Thomas Andrew Jr. was born. He was nephew to the owner of the Harland and Wolff, which is the shipbuilding company that built the Titanic. At the age of 16, Andrew dropped school to work at his uncle's firm. Andrew Jr. rose to the top, becoming managing director, in charge of design at Harland & Wolff, as a reward for all of his hard work. Soon after he became a member of the Institution of Naval Architects in 1901.

The Titanic
In March of 1909, the construction of the titanic began in Belfast, Ireland, at Harland & Wolff shipyard. Just a few years later, around April 2nd,1912, the Titanic took at test sail. The Titanic set off on its first voyage, on April 12th, 1912. On April 15th, 1912, he died in the sinking off the Titanic. He was last seen in the smoking room staring at a picture.
